Boiled Ricotta Dumplings with Marinara Sauce Recipe
Creamy and cheesy dumplings made with a dough of special ricotta cheese mixture, boiled until tender and fluffy, then served with your favorite jar of store bought marinara sauce.

Ingredients for making Boiled Ricotta Dumplings with Marinara Sauce Recipe
- 16 ounces of rennet free, ricotta cheese
- 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt, + more for water
- ½ cup vegetarian parmesan cheese
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 bottle of store bought marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
Method of Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix in ricotta and parmesan, salt and pepper, yogurt, breadcrumbs, olive oil and flour. Mix well to combine.
- Line a baking sheet with some parchment paper then dust with flour.
- Make 2 inch round balls from the dough and place on the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough.
- Cook the dumplings in a pot of boiling water until it floats. When it floats, continue cooking for 4-5 more minutes. Remove from the pot using a slotted spoon. Serve with the sauce.
